GSCEF Grant Celebration for Literacy Team

Congratulations to Amy Kappele, Chris Hittmeier, Jean DiFulvio, and Sue Sander, members of our Literacy Leadership Team. They were awarded a grant through the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation. They will be increasing the number of Literacy Traveling Backpacks for our Kindergarten and 1st Graders and adding a new 2nd Grade Version for next year. These backpacks will feature books, games, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Camp Dragonfly - Summer 2012

Davis Primary will once again offer a Summer Camp for its students. Camp Dragonfly 2012 will run from June 11th-29th. We offer sessions in Art, Computers, Cooking, Reading, Math and Sports. There is also a session only for our students who will be starting kindergarten in the fall, called Kindergarten Learning. Be a Literacy Volunteer

Help your fellow parents

LiteracyVolunteers Fox Valley is offering free training for Davis parents who want to help other Davis parents understand English more effectively. The four-session workshop teaches methods to tutor adults while discussing the issues people face when they have little knowledge of the American culture.

Dear Davis Primary Family,

Excitement is in the air! August has arrived and with it anticipation of our new school, new teachers, new friends, and new learning. Our staff has been meeting throughout the summer in large and small groups to plan for a warm and welcoming new year for our students and families.  I am extremely excited to lead this highly qualified team of teachers and support staff who are just as passionate about kids and their learning as am I.
